Chances are.....

...you won't see me for the next few days - we are potty training

...if there is a dish in the sink Seth will be the one to wash it

...if it rains our car won't start

...when I lay down tonight I'll have a hard time falling asleep

...if there is laundry going it's because Jericho had another accident

...if I read a book it's going to be either a potty book or a baby name book

...if Jericho hears a plane she's going to want to see it

...if Seth is outside Jericho is with him

...if you hear scratching on a door Gamba wants to eat

...if you hear ringing of a bell Gamba wants to go out

...if you hear a dinging of a timer Jericho needs to sit on the potty

...if a stranger sees me they'll ask when I'm due or what we're having or both

...if I'm awake I'm hungry

Like butter on a hot skillet.....

I melted....

It all started last night I was getting ready for a picnic at a friends house. Seth was loading the car and Jericho was helping him. Jericho came into the room to check on me and to say hi. We chatted for a second before she was at the door saying bye bye getting ready to close it. I was watching her go thinking to myself how lucky I am to have her for a daughter and when it happened. My girl confirmed my very thoughts and left me like butter on a hot skillet melting my very core. Just before she closed the door she stopped, opened it back up, looked me straight in the eye with the biggest smile on her face and said, "I yuv you!" then closed the door and off she went, as if what she had just done was no big deal. But it was, it was a very big deal to her mama.

Jericho has said I love you countless times and each time it gets me, but this time was different, this was a first. All the countless times prior to last night I had initiated the I love you, I would tell her I love her or asking if she knew that I loved her or asking her if she knew how much I loved her, that sort of thing. But this time, this time she said it on her own, without me saying anything. This time it was all Jericho. Jericho had a simple thought as she was leaving the room I love my mommy, followed by another simple thought I'm going to tell her, followed my a simple action telling her mama "I yuv you!" Moments like this make it all worth it.

Next time you think to yourself that you love someone take some advice from my almost 2 year old and tell them, you never know how it might brighten their day.

I find it only appropriate to end this telling the one I'm thinking of what I'm thinking:

"I YUV YOU JERICHO!"

Wordless Wednesday

FYI

There are 2 things you should know:

1. We finally have a computer at home.
2. I just downloaded pictures from the last 5 months.
   

Both of these facts should make you very nervous.

I have lots of pictures to share and stories to tell. I'm WAY behind and I plan on catching up.

The only thing that might save you is that I got use to blogging about every other week, if that. I'm way out of blog practice. So you might be safe.....for now!

Did ya guess right?

So I have a whole slew of pictures that I need to post but it's getting late. I spent to much time looking at other stuff online (because I only get on the computer about once ever 2 weeks.) Plus you don't really care about picture right now do you. I think you'd rather know what we are having. Wouldn't you? Yeah that's what I though.

But first let me tell you that everything looked good on the ultrasound. This is always such a relief. They couldn't see the spine very well because of how the baby was laying so I will get another one in 4 weeks at my next doctors appointment. Other than not being able to see the spine things look good!

Okay now we can talk about the gender of the baby.

I'm going to give you a hint and you see if you can firgure it out.

So tell me did you know?

We didn't. We are a little surprised. We both thought that it was a boy (as did many of you according to the poll) Maybe it was because I'm due on Gideon's birthday so it's just in us to think boy. Despite the surprise we are excited. I do hope that someday we have another little boy but for today we are thrilled for this little girl that is on it's way. My sisters are my best friends and knowing that Jericho has a little sister on the way makes me more excited than you will ever know. Sisters are a special thing and I can't wait to watch my girls be sisters!
