Walk in the Spirit

Well, I was going to write about our last 2 weeks, I can't believe it's been that long, it feels like yesterday. It went quick because it's been full - thank goodness it's been full of FUN so far or I might not have survived!

I was going to tell you how much fun we've been having. I was going to tell you about how good the girls have been and how proud of my husband I am and how nice it was to have BOTH sides of our family here and............I will tell you (hopefully) but not tonight.

Tonight I need to process.

You see I'm in that place again. It's not a bad place, so to speak, just it's a hard place, especially if I'm allowing my flesh to take over. There are some "little foxes" that need to be taken care of. Believe it our not, I like being in this place but only because I know that when I'm there it's because the Lord is calling me to the next level and at the next level there are always great rewards & blessings because I am purposely choosing to walk in the Spirit.

Right now it's just a matter of getting to that purposely choosing place. After reading this last night I too realized that it is a choice, MY choice, and I really can have the fruits of the Spirit all the time. {I also love that this just happens to be the verse we are having Jericho memorize!}

Here is what the Lord is challenging me to start doing: walk in the Spirit and possess the fruits of the Spirit ALL the time!

Now I'm not perfect and I know that there will be times that I allow my flesh to take over and the fruits of the spirit will not be visible. Just because they are not visible for a moment does not mean they are absent.

Tarah, it privilege to have you as a wife. You are constantly allowing God to grow you and the fruit of the Spirit is evident in your life. Thank you for submitting to the move of God in your life.

what a great post, it caused me to also think about how I can apply the fruits of the spirit more in my everyday life. I also agree with you, sometimes the growing stages though painfull can be such good places for us to be in.
